Kat Dennings returns to network television and plays the opposite of Tim Allen in a new ABC show called Shifting Gears. Shifting Gears is about an estranged daughter, Riley(Dennings), who is a single mother struggling to get by and has decided to move back home to her Dad’s house. Her Dad is Matt, played by Tim Allen. He is stubborn and widowed; he owns a classic car restoration business. The comedy and drama play off the difference between them as they try to restore their relationship.

Kat Dennings is best known for her role as Max Black in Two Broke Girls. She played an outspoken girl from Brooklyn, best friend, co-worker, and confident to Caroline Channing, a Manhattan heiress who lost her fortune; Beth Behr played her. This show was played for six seasons on the CBS Network. It was a highly popular show about two financially struggling women striving for success and riches while working as waitresses in a small diner.

Denning has had other acting credits. Two seasons of the Hulu series called Dollhouse. Movie roles in the Marvel franchise, Thor, Thor The The Dark World. Thor Love and Thunder. Other Movie credits included The 40-year-old Virgin, Big Momma’s, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, and Suburban Gothic.

This new role will likely revive some of the spunkiness that fans loved in Two Broke Girls and some of the slapstick and dry humor that made Tim a sitcom icon. It’s worth checking out. Promises it will be highly entertaining.
