Ted Danson is a great American actor and performer; he is currently the Netflix Series Man on the Inside. The show finished the first season and has been renewed for a second.  This comedy and life drama tackles essential life questions and issues after death. He plays the role of Charles, a man who just lost his wife and is trying to find purpose and meaning. He invested his essence in his significant other, who was around to share moments.   Charles is depressed and not functioning that well; he has hoarded everything related to her and is not socializing with people.  He calls his daughter Emily (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) for human contact. She worries about him and tries to get him to clean the house and get him involved in something again. He once was a very successful teacher and had accomplishments, but now he is not doing anything.  He sees a classified ad for an Investigative assistant.  Julie (Lilah Ridgecreek Estrada), the agency office manager and private investigator, interviews him if he would be interested in going undercover at a retirement community to investigate a jewel theft at the Pacific View Retirement Community.  While there, he begins to enjoy the job and the residents that live there. 

Ted has had some phenomenal roles in the past. One was Sam Malone at Cheers, a bar in Boston. He played the part of a former sports star and now bar owner and ultimate player.  He won 2 Primetime Emmy awards and 2 Golden Globe awards in that role.  He was in Damages a Legal Drama, Becker, and more recently, The Good Place, where he played Michael, an architect for a utopia world of the afterlife.  Life is good there until a mistake happens and someone makes it to a Good Place that shouldn’t have, now everything is running astray. Movie roles have been notable, starring in Three Men and a Baby, Saving Private Ryan, and Body Heat. 

Ted will likely continue to amaze and entertain audiences for a long time.  The second season of Man on Inside is scheduled for November 2025.
