The Veer Union

The Veer Union is a Canadian Alternative rock band with aspects of hard rock, heavy metal, and post-grunge with light undertones of pop-leaning melodies. They just released a new album called “Reinvention”, very passionate, fierce, thundering, and relentless. It dives deep into the human condition of complex emotions, struggles, loss, fear, hope, and determination. If I were to compare it to a recent release if would be Linkin Park’s “From Zero” released in late 2024 that dealt with a similar array of emotions with their first album in seven years after the death of their lead singer. This release is just as adrenaline-filled and pounding as that one was. It expressed feelings of anger, loss, and challenges.

Reinvention is a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I felt emotions of loss, grief, anger, rage, battle in songs Hole in my Head, and Dying Light Sunk in your teeth, to the opposite extreme of resilience and a rally cry in songs such as “My Empire”, “Sea of Fear”, “Meet your Maker”. Additionally, a call for restoration, hope, and resilience in “Feel Again”.

The band consists of: Cripin Earl on vocals, Ryan Ramsdell on rhythm guitar, Richardo Viana on drums, and Glen Clarke on unclean vocals and bass guitar.

Influences on the band include: Hinder,Seether, Theory of a Deadman, Led Zeppelin, Soundgarden, and Rush.

Reinvention is a must-have album; it has everything you could want from instrumentation, vocals, and passion.

Currently,  The Veer Union is on tour in North America and Europe.
