The banks by the Ohio river in Cincinnati were alive Friday night with the sound of music for the annual Bunbury Festival. The Festival features both seasoned and up-and-coming artists who rock several stages. This festival is a three-day event with music, food, arts and souvenirs. Previous years the event has featured the talent of Neon Trees, Death Cab for Cutie, Walk the Moon, OAR, Imagine Dragons, and Snoop Doggy.
Friday night hosted two popular artists X-Ambassadors and The Killers. X-Ambassadors enchanted the crowd as they preformed songs, Unsteady, Naked and Renegades. The audience was like a field of people swaying in unison to the songs with hands, and cell phones in the air, dancing and singing along to this cultural icon.
This band is from Ithaca, N.Y. consisting of performers Sam Harris, on vocals, guitar, and saxophone, Casey Harris on the keyboard, and Adam Levin on Drums. The song Unsteady continues to build in momentum as it hits new highs on the HotAC chart and just reached #19 on Billboard Hot 100. They will have a busy summer with events at the BottleRock Napa Valley, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and Summerfest.
The Killers continued to the gleam the crowd to rhythmic songs, Read My Mind, Human, and Somebody Told Me, Spaceman, Runaway, and a playful version of WKRP in Cincinnati. The Band consists of four guys from Las Vegas, Brandon Flowers on vocals, keyboard, Dave Keuning, guitar,vocals, and Mark Stoermer, bass guitar, backup vocals, and Ronnie Vannucci, drums. They have had several hit albums, including; Hot Fuss in 2004, Sam’s Town 2006, Day and Age 2006, and Battle Born 2012.
Bunbury is a great music venue that all music lovers will enjoy check it out this weekend.
