Riverbend Music Center in Cincinnati was on fire last night with the best of contemporary music. James Arthur, Fitz and The Tantrums and One Republic entertained the audience with rhythm beats and heartfelt lyrics. The packed venue had people dancing throughout the event, cheering, hands in air, creating hearts with hands and clapping as well as and singing along to their favorites.
James Arthur lead off the event. This British singer and songwriter first saw success with his winning the ninth season of the X Factor in 2012. He performed several of his hit songs, including, Say You Won’t Let Go, Can I Be Him, and Impossible.
Fitz and the Tantrums followed to heighten the excitement from the crowd with such musical scores as; Complicated, Break the Walls, Handclap, Out of My League and The Walker. They also played their latest song, which is Fool that just debuted a couple of weeks ago. Michael Fitzpatrick briefly talked about the band’s years of struggling in clubs waiting an opportunity to be on large concert tour. This Indie Pop and Neo-Soul Band was formed in 2008 in Los Angeles with founding members Michael Fitzpatrick, Noelle Scaggs, James King, Jeremy Ruzumna and John Wicks.
One Republic was the band that everyone had been waiting for all night with great anticipation. They were formed in Colorado Springs in 2002 with band members Ryan Teddler, Zach Filkins, Drew Brown, Brent Kutzle, and Eddie Fisher. They took the stage and every note they played was seamless and in sync. If the crowd was hungry for a harmonious celebration, they feed them well. Some of the musical vocals included; Secrets, All the Right Moves, Stop and Stare, Good Life, I Lived, Feel again, and Apologize. The song Apologize was the 2006 song that first got One Republic on the radar appearing at the time on the MySpace Charts earning a number-one allocation. In 2007, a remake was done with Jusin Timberlake and a it earned a Grammy nomination.
Lead Vocalist Ryan Tedder also talked about in addition to performing with One Republic. He was a part-time songwriter for other artists some of which include Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5, U2 and Adele.
The band did an encore finale to close the night with songs. Counting Stars and Love Runs Out. The stated that they will be releasing more music soon and to stay tuned in.
