Oh my GOSH I had the most fantastic week.  We PARTIED!  First we celebrated Aunt Boofie’s (these clients feel like family so I’m just going to call her MY Aunt Boofie!) 90th birthday with some wonderful quiches and soup and Duchess Chicken Salad, and she loves chocolate so we made some assorted brownies with our famous toppings.  THEN we helped some new doctors put on their stethoscopes at a cocktail party with hors d’oeuvres.  A new creation to your left for this occasion was such a hit it’ll go on the menu permanently: Adobo Roasted Quail Breast on a Tomatillo Corn Cake with Cotija-Jalapeno Crema (and some broccoli sprouts for garnish because our host loves broccoli and they’re CUTE!)  Scroll down to see the fantastic Chilled Cantaloupe Soup Shot with Toasted Marcona Almond Garnish we also served.  If a fun menu like this appeals to you just email me and I’ll customize a special party just for you and yours.  Kentucky just opened up yesterday to parties up to 50!!  Ohio’s ban contains numerous exemptions such as weddings for up to 300 people.

We’ve lightened things up in the face of HEAT and HUMIDITY.  Our Fennel Gazpacho is a take on the original without the gluten (did you know that originally soaked bread (panade) gave gazpacho it’s texture?)  – it is extremely refreshing. Don’t forget our fantastic, light and cooling salads and egg dishes.  If your office or your family needs sustenance, you can’t get it from a safer place.  

I have been so lucky these past few months getting out and about, delivering sustenance and visiting with some of you (safely, of course).  With your help Lula’s has been able to nourish our battlefront at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Covington Police Department, Welcome House, DCCH Center for Children and Families, Women’s Crisis Center, and Master Provisions.   I could not be more proud of how our region has stepped up in courage and in love.  WITH love, Lula!
