Ryan Tedder has been a cornerstone of the music industry for the last fifteen years. He is the lead vocalist for the music group One Republic. If only he were just a superb singer, that would be highly remarkable and a true maverick in the industry. Nevertheless, Ryan is a songwriter, musician, multi-instrumentalist, and record producer.

He grew up learning and imitating his favorite artists such as Beatles, Peter Gabriel, Stevie Wonder, and Sting.

He attended high school in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where he met one of his future band members, Zach Filkins. Upon graduating high school, Ryan attended Oral Roberts University, earning degrees in public relations and advertising. His career started with humble beginnings as a sales associate for Potter Barn; however, it didn’t take long before his real gifts to get noticed as he began a job at Dreamworks SKG. Tedder sang on many demos that were produced there. He also entered a contest on MTV for a combination of Singer and Songwriter for Lance Bass and won the competition. This honor led him to Timbaland productions from 2002–4, where he worked on his talent and produced for other hip hops, rock, and pop artists.

In 2007 One Republic draw the industry’s attention with hit single Apologize. It hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for four non-consecutive weeks. Then Eleven weeks at #3 and another 25 weeks in the top 10. It hit # 1 in 16 Countries and earned a Grammy Award nomination.

Also, in 2007 the Album Dreaming out Loud, which had hit singles as Apologize, Stop and Stare, Waking up, All the Right Moves, and Secrets went Platinum.

In 2013 The Native Album had great success with hits If I lose myself and Counting Stars. Counting Stars mirrored the success of Apologize, hitting # 2 on Billboard Hot 100.

More recently, he has had singles such as Rescue Me and Wanted.

Ryan’s songwriting talents have aided many all-star performers, including Adele on the 21 and 25 albums with such songs as Rumor has it and Turning Tables. He has also written for such artists as Ed Sheeren, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, Katy Perry, Paul McCarthy, and Taylor Swift.

I believe Ryan Tedder and One Republic will amaze and entertain audiences worldwide with future offerings that impact other artists.
